Association for Measurement and Evaluation in Education and Psychology (EPODDER)
Founded on March 28, 2013, the Association for Measurement and Evaluation in Education and Psychology (EPODDER) held its first General Assembly Meeting on December 8, 2013, and its 2nd General Assembly Meeting on April 25, 2015, at the Hasan Ali Yücel Hall of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Ankara University.
Some of the activity areas related to our association’s founding purposes are as follows:
- Conducting scientific studies to promote and develop the field of Measurement and Evaluation in Education and Psychology, ensuring its use for the benefit of society, and creating and/or developing social awareness on this matter.
- Promoting the field of measurement and evaluation as well as the profession of measurement, evaluation, and psychometrics.
- Organizing conferences and open sessions to introduce new developments in measurement and evaluation to members. Publishing the Journal of Measurement and Evaluation in Education and Psychology; producing books and similar publications on various topics; organizing professional and scientific congresses, panels, seminars, and conferences. The Measurement and Evaluation in Education and Psychology Congresses are an activity of our association.
- Establishing relationships with professional, private, and official organizations for the implementation and execution of all kinds of legislation and curricula for the development of measurement and evaluation and psychometrics as a profession.
- Encouraging members to conduct research in various areas of measurement and evaluation, supporting them within available means, and assisting in conducting these studies and research.
- Organizing activities for the training of those working in measurement and evaluation and for sharing experiences among those working in this field.
- Contributing to the professional development of measurement and evaluation specialists working in schools.
